I ordered a new match barrel for my AR15, and it came in a crappy little cardboard tube with no padding, and just tape on both ends. Consequently the muzzle appeared to have hit concrete a couple of times, and there was some significant muzzle damage. I called the gunsmith and he took it back to recrown it and fix the threads that were damaged, but I'm wondering if that strike on the concrete could have bent the barrel at all, even .0005".
I ask because I spent $465 on the barrel, and I expected to get a brand new barrel, not a barrel that was damaged due to incorrect packaging, and then "fixed". If there is no chance of permanent damage, then ok, but if there is, shouldn't I be able to get a refund?
