Range Report Muzzle velocity from elevation?

30cal 168gr Amax zeroed at 100yds needs 47moa at 1000yd. DA around 1500ft(30c/zero PA). With BC of 0.475 I get about 2450ft/s, is that reasonable?

You're going to go subsonic at around 800yds. Don't know what barrel length you're running, but if you get a 175gr. (.495bc, or better) leaving the muzzle @ between 2650 and 2700 and zero @ 100yds. your comeups will drop down to around 37moa @ 1k and should stay ss all the way.

That's what I was thinking. I couldn't hit anything at 1000yd and the rounds were going all over the place.

This is 30-06, not .308. I can up the load to keep it supersonic easily, but I think I'll load these up for 600 or less and start over with a 190-200smk for longer ranges.

Zeroed at 100ft, or 100yds might make a difference....typo I'm guessing??
