I just wanted to share with you fellas some of my favorite things in life. I finally figured out how to post pics so i am going to share with you some of my rifles. These rifles were all built by Beanland custom rifles. Jon is a first class gun smith and a heck of a talent!! Hope you enjoy these pics. These are not all tactical rifles so no flaming please!! LOL!!! We have no where to shoot tactical matches here in the corn field state of Illinois. ots of Benchrest, and i like to compete so this is the way it is!! Let me know what you think! Thanks Lee (I hope this workes!!)

Re: The reason why i lace my boots up every morning. P

Ok it worked! Here is the rundown.
Red/Black Mcmillan F-class 6dasher. Lawton 7500 action Krieger gain twist 28" HV barrel. Shoots dam nice!!

Hs precision varmint, trued rem 700 action, shilen 10 twist 6BR. This is my coyote rig. Shot it today for the first time and it shoots 87GR v-max with authority!!

30BR/22BR Switch barrel. Lawton 7500 action Bartlein 30BR barrel and Krieger 22BR barrel. Lights out accurate Actually is scary accurate. One holer foo shooo!!!

The laminate stock rifle is my 6.5 creedmoor. It is also very very accurate. Shoots 130gr Berger VLD like crazy. Stiller action, Krieger truck axle! 8 twist.

Last but definitely not least my most favorite is my stiller predator 6x47Lapua sitting in a AICS 2.0 stock. 7.5 twist Krieger barrel. I need to get it cerokoted but i can decide if i want it OD Green or just Black??

These five rifles are my pride and joy. They are the only custom rifles i have as the rest of the fleet are factory offering you have all seen 1000 times. Jon Beanland is my smith and he is very professional. His work and craftsmanship is TOPS!!! Every one of these rifles shoot little bitty groups. I wish they were all tactical rigs but like i said above, there aren't any tactical shoots for hundreds of miles in any direction. Lots of Benchrest shoots, so i have adapted to my surroundings. I earned to do that in the ARMY. LOL!! Anyway just wanted to share 5 of the reasons why i roll out of bed at 4:30 AM every morning with you all. Hope your weekend was a good one. Thanks Lee Gardner

Re: The reason why i lace my boots up every morning. P

VERY VERY nice equipment you got there bro! You even have a tv in the room that makes me jealous.
Nothing wrong with a benchrest match, I tied it once and liked it ( kinda far for me to drive on a regular basis)

Re: The reason why i lace my boots up every morning. P

Lee,

Very nice use of what appears to be a compact space! What pray tell, explains the magic of photo's 5 and 7 where the red and black rifle appears unsupported?

Oh, and I couldn't find anything else to bust your balls about besides that and the slices of Illinois on the wall!

Nice smoke poles too!

Re: The reason why i lace my boots up every morning. P

I paid 125,000 for this house and all i get is the dark damp basement. My little girls have there own play room upstairs were its a lot more comfortable. LOL!!! Oh well i can live with the basement for now. Actually i have a pretty decent room down here. I raised the floor 4" off the concrete with wood just in case there would ever be any water down here. I have been here for 6 years now and no water, Nock on wood!!!! I guess i need to come clean and admit that i was hoping the trophies in the back ground would draw some attention, thus the reason i took the photos at that angle. I used to be a shotgunner, and i did pretty well here in this state of Illinois. Heck i was even a champion sporting clays shooter at one time. The rifles are a bit more challenging for me, and i no longer shoot the scatterguns unless i have a mallard in my way. I love those Ducks!!!! I had developed a neck problem while shooting 500 + rounds of 12ga a week to stay at the top of my game. I got tired of living in pain, so i quit shooting them! Rifles are more fun anyway!! Got the house to myself this afternoon and i am a bit bored so i just thought i would share. Thanks Lee

Re: The reason why i lace my boots up every morning. P

Lee,

Quite a fleet you got there!!

Do you remember when you were torn about whether to build from a Savage action and or buy a custom action for the build?

I guess you made up your mind!Aren't you glad you did?

Steve

you got a thing for bling dont you? Very nice collection and use of space. Im digging the 3rd rifle, that light blue and blingin barrel really look good.

Re: The reason why i lace my boots up every morning. P

I posted some pics of my reloading room on another topic in this forum above. Check it out. Actually i am not to much on the colorful stocks. But they seem to be pretty popular in bench rest and its all Bruno had in stock at the time. I like the red/Black stock the best. The blue is ok to i guess. The main thing is the accuracy these rifles deliver. Its truly unbelievable!! Jon does a heck of a good job!!! Props to him for sure!! Lee

That's one i have never heard before. It might have some clout to it though. My wife tells me every day i am sick!! LOL!!! To be honest i like organization, and cleanliness. I am kinda pick that way. After an afternoon of loading things get pretty crazy, it usually takes an hour or better for me to pick up after myself. Now if i would just pick my underwear up off the bath room floor when i get out of the shower my wife would love me so much more!! LOL!!!! Hope everyone has had a good weekend, Back to the grind tomorrow. Some folks have tomorrow off, and with me being a city worker you'd think we would to, but they took that one away from us in our last union contract. Oh well. Take care fellas!! Lee

Re: The reason why i lace my boots up every mornin

My hunting rifle is a rem 700 thats been trued up. I bought a shilen match stainless 6mm 10 twist barrel from mid-way USA and had Jon Chamber it in 6BR. The rifle shoots darn good. Jon did a little mod to the magazine so it feeds a lot more reliable. I found a great deal on an older Nikon Monarch UCC for a couple hundred so i put it on the rig. Its a great scope, and very clear! Should be a great coyote hunting rig!!! Now if we could get all this corn and beans out of the fields i could go do some calling. Thanks Lee
