Here's my new LR 308 Oracle, at least that's how it started out. I replaced the stock collapsible carbine buttstock with a rifle length tube - spring - rifle buffer, and added the Magpul PRS stock. I took off the stock handguards and gas block and put on a low pro gas block and Apex free float handguards and also replace the grip with a Magpul MAID grip (fits my hand better). I also put a Gunfighter charging handle in it. I replaced the flash suppressor with a Battlecomp BABC muzzle brake/flash suppressor. Last but not least I bought a Vortex Viper HS 5 - 15X44 scope and mounted it in a Burris PEPR mount. I bought the rifle on Monday and finished it up Saturday night. If the weather stays nice I'll be able to get to the local 100 yard range on Wednesday and try it all out, can't wait to get some rounds down range!!! The quality on the rifle is extremely good, fit - finish - and workmanship are great. I did a lot of research before buying the DPMS and the user reviews for the 308s was excellent and they all seem to be very accurate for the money. A winning combination in my book. I've got about $2,100 in it and it's now the way I wanted it to be.
I'm glad it's only a range gun, it tips the scales at 12.5 lbs. I'd hate to pack it thru the woods hunting!!!!!!
