My first rifle build

Really excited to get this out and see how it shoots. I used a local gunsmith to chamber and match the barrel to action.

The rifle with everything except bipod was 9lb 9ounces. Rifle alone was 7lb 10 ounces. The Bartlein barrel is a little heavier than the Proof but I got sold on the 5R versus 4R. Next rifle I will probably opt for a 20” Proof for a lighter weight.

Good looking rifle. I like heavier barrels myself because I think they tend to shoot better. I don’t know if they really do but it’s something I heard and got sold on years ago. I also believe in the benefits of 5r barrels. I know how happy you must be with your first custom rig and I’m sure it’ll shoot one hole groups at a hundred yards. Congrats man
