Sidearms & Scatterguns my gen 3 has a dual captive

just bought a gen 3 glock yesterday brought it home took the slide off to oil it up and i see that it has a dual captive recoil spring and from what i have heard they do/had problems wich is why i diddnt buy a gen 4 is this a new thing

Is it a compact like a 26/27? I believe the compacts have always been that way.

sub-compacts have always had dual springs. My 26 is a gen 3, bought new this year and works fine.

My gen 3 model 27 is many years old now and has a captive dual spring. Has never stopped, ever.
