My Home Project. Remington 5r Thoughts Please?

Here she is.... I am done.....I think?

She is a Remington 700 5r SS Milspec.....I know there are a million out there but this is is mine and I did all the work myself.

STATS:

TPS steel rings
Badger 20 MOA Base
Timney trigger 2.75 lbs
Tubb Speed lock spring and pin
Zeiss Conquest 6.5-20 w/ Varmint recticle
standard hs stock...bedded and 2 lbs added to the rear
all metal was Cerakoted.

All a home brew. I can not believe how she feels from stock til now and she shoots better then I can...


What you guys think....Let me know....IF you got a 5r post a pic to the thread I would love to see what you have done.

Thanks guys... Not to happy with my last Leupold I had so it was the zeiss or Nightforce.

Very nicely done. Love what you have done with yours. Considering that you did all the work yourself is even better. Wish I could say the same. Here is what I have done with mine:

Front rifle is the 5R. It has been Duracoated in Combat Black and fitted with a custom muzzle brake. Gunsmith also performed a trigger job. Scope is a Ziess Conquest 4.5 - 14x44 MC. Base is Badger 20moa with Leupold Mark 4 Rings. Next step is to replace the trigger with a Jewel, add Badger bottom metal, a Badger Bolt knob and a McMillan A5 stock.

Those items will have to wait given I just purchased the rifle in the back:

Remington 700 Police in .338 Lapua. Fitted it with a Luepold Mark 4 6.5 - 20 LR/T M1 Scope on a Badger 20 MOA base with Luepold Mark 4 Rings. Plan to put in a Jewel trigger, Badger bolt knob and a McMillan A5 stock also.

sweet... I undecided wether to go with the MCM or the Manners at this point. all my buddies have MCM so I will prolly go with the Manners just to be different.

If you go with the manners get the chassis system then you don't need to bed and you get the Badger system installed at the factory.
