So, the first of this month I celebrated my 29th birthday. So that means this time next year I am gonna be 30 fucking years old! Where the hell did all the time go?! I'm not ready to be old yet!

If you think 30 is old, wait until 40. That's when shit starts breaking down like gangbusters.

I'd just left the army and was studying math at university at 30. 30 is very much young, but it's also that period you wanna get serious about shit.

Life starts after 30... and just keeps getting better.

Until s#!+ starts falling off, that is.

Savor every day. You will be staring at the lawn from the wrong side for a long time... so enjoy it now.

You will regret the things you don't do way more than the things you do...

    Happy birthday, ya fargin bastage!

I am 43 and it was easier going from 39 to 40 than 29 to 30 I did not want to leave my 20s because in your 20s you can still get away with doing dumb irresponsible shit, but I feel from 30 on it's time to quit being a dumb ass and step up to the plate and be a responsible adult.

I know we all have to grow old and eventually die, but in spite of this thread with me bitching about getting old, I do hope I stay capable of staying young in my mind forever. Forever young!

I'll be 50 next month. You will be too next thing you know. This is when time speeds up and a month is not a lifetime anymore. Enjoy it. Don't dwell on how old you are, stay focused on how young you are. Don't allow your age to limit what you want to do. It's also about the time you stop giving a shit about what anyone thinks. That's freeing.

Friend of mine... D-day veteran. Third wave. Communications wire stringer. They had high-mortality rates... named Bill Butler told me "If you don't look in the mirror, you never get old."

He lived until almost 100. And was a kid his whole life. Played with old cars... Loved his wife. Was an angel to his friends.

Figured every day after April 1945 was a gift.

    Cheers,

In a few days I will be flipping over to 6 score + 5. Most of my kids are older than you.

You still have 20-25 years to set the world on fire and make a big pile. Get after it, boy.
