Hey, Dino-bird... good to see you back! Been a while.

I never set out to do photography (well, I was into it as a teenager...) but I have managed to get a few good shots over the years. Esp. while travelling. Here are a few:

Just a few. I keep meaning to have one of those photo books done up to preserve these. I'd hate to lose them in a digital media 'event.'

Beautiful stuff Pternadon. This will be an interesting thread. I know Tucker has some great ones!

Cheers,

Sirhr

All awesome photos.
Semo no underwater photos here, can't hold my breath that long. Have a few zoo aquarium jelly fish that turned out ok.
Good to see you Sir.
I'll keep turning up photos...

Cool stuff. Always curious what people dig besides guns around here.
Your pictures from the monument last year are still in my mind, as well as you and that long strange trip.

That artwork in Omaha or from a trip elsewhere?

Is the footbridge the one over the Missouri River near the 480 bridge?

Nice stuff, aint seen ya much since we got home....

Back when I was in High School, I REALLY loved B&W photography class in spite of how nasty the stop bath smelled. I don't really have much in the way good quality pics saved because I haven't been into it in quite a long time. Here's one of me testing out the zoom on a new cam back in 2008.

Yes, from Omaha....it's in front of the Century link Center downtown Omaha. And yes footbridge.

Here are some pics I took while mountaineering in the Cascades in California, Oregon, and Washington. All with my iPhone, I'm no photographer but enjoy snapping pics of the wonderful sights while I climb.

My tent at base camp at about 9.5k feet on Mt. Adams. Mt. Hood is off to the left

Sunset views from base camp on Mt. Adams. Mt. Saint Helens off to the right

Cloud level while climbing Mt. Adams, probably 10.5k-11k feet. This is a still from my GoPro, not iPhone

On the descent from the summit of Mt. Rainier (if I had to guess this pic was probably taken at 11.5k-12k feet). We passed this group as we headed down. Mt. Adams is off to the right

At about 13k feet on Mt. Shasta during sunrise. That's the shadow of the mountain, I love the sunrise shadows these mountains cast on the horizon
TzPJMtM.jpg

Sunrise on Mt. Hood, no idea what elevation we're at, maybe around 9.5k? Mt. Jefferson is in the background

photo56259.jpgphoto56260.jpg The Marijuana plantation was closed before it could go into operation. Now, million dollar facility sitting idle. Could have been used to grow potatoes, tomatoes, cucumbers, FOOD for gosh sakes.
The parade is in Lake City Ca, annually. Clinton Romesha (MOH) Grand Marshall. Tiny little town, at around 4500 ft altitude, tucked in the extreme northeast corner of the state of CA. The driver, Gary Romesha, is the gentleman who drove the front end loader that plowed out the road to rescue the Stolpa family when they were stranded in the back country (by their own poor decisions). Two men in a pickup truck followed him deep into the wilderness. Clint Romesha is cut from durable cloth.
The jumper is landing in front of the Pratt Museum at Ft Campbell, KY. Very tight LZ
