My new 700

Bought this Remington 700 SPS Tac in .308 new for $483. I could not pass that deal up. After ordering and paying in full for her about 4 months ago while I was on deployment, I was finally able to pick her up 3 days ago. Got home on leave yesterday and today's first priority was to get the rail put on.

It's a Weaver 20 MOA rail. My question about that is I have a 20 MOA scope ring mount already on my DPMS SASS that I will interchanging on the two weapons. How will a total of 40 MOA effect the Remington while I shoot?

Well that depends on what scope your running!!! If it has enough internal adjustment, ie 100MOA would be good.
It will have no effect on the rifle, the mount might be high on a bolt gun

I'm running a 20 MOA Night Force mount with a Vortex Viper PST 4-16x on my AAC SD and have plenty of adjustment to take it out to 1000+ yards. I wonder if 40 MOA total might be too much and if you would be looking at the end of the barrel.
