Hey guys, I have made some pretty serious headway with my Ruger 10/22 rebuild. In case you haven't followed the plot my wife list a fire under my butt after years of procrastination and got me a Kid 2 stage trigger as a Christmas gift this past Christmas. Since Christmas I have ordered a Boyds Tacticool stock, Kid barrel, Kid Bolt buffer, Kid charging handle, Kid guide rod, and Kid recoil spring set (comes with 3 springs...who knew?). I am not quite but I am ready to take it to the range...so here are the pre-shoot pictures:

Here is what I started with earlier this evening. Bone stock Ruger 10/22:

I am very excited to get this thing out and wring it out a bit. Special thanks goes out the the Hide members who gave sound advice along the way.

Re: My new Kid build

So far, so good. Suitslinger and I put about 200 rounds downrange and I will say that the 10/22 no longer likes Velocitors, bullets were all over the place and most were tumbling while going through the target at 50 yards. Didn't have any Wolf ammo today but I did shoot some other assorted ammo. Groups were nice and tight as I expected but it took a little while to get the scope walked in (mostly because I cheaped out on scope rings...easily remedied by the gunsmith at the range). I didn't take any pics of the targets this time (I will next time) but 50 yard 5 shot groups were easily covered by a dime. It is a VERY nice shooter.
