Actually Jim chambered it and man is it a smooth action. I think he just used a standard 300 winmag reamer??? It chambers my left over 210's from the last win mag. Jon if you can try to get the AX, its really nice. No mods at all to the stock other than trimming the skins a little bit for the heavy tang. The huber is a great piece also.

We are ready to see some dirt fly now!!!

In my opinion the stocks to me are pretty close in weight. I will say this it seems that the buttsock portion of the rifle is a little bit heavier largely in part to what i believe the buttpad attachment due to the big chunk of aluminum. As far as which is better the Legacy or the AX take your pic. I had to get new rings to use the scope I had but only by 1/16 higher, also I might have to install a target butt to get better contact with my shoulder. I will say this that once again AI didnt skimp on any engineering as usual but the hand guard attachment is kinda a PITA if you dont have a 3mm allen driver. Other than that I have only good things to say about the chassis. I did order another AX, one for another rifle i have and that should be here next week. That one will get an HDMR from GA so that should be a good one too.

Nice looking rifle. I just ordered the SA AX in FDE from Mile High. It should be here by mid next week. I can’t wait to slap my 308 barreled action into it.

I'm wondering how much that setup weighs. You haven’t put it on a scale yet have you?

looks like we will have nearly identical barrels only mine is a OBY. I have to stick with the A 5 for now as I have it on hand. What bullet you running?
I will definitely have to stick with the 190s as I have literally 1000s of loaded rounds.
