Been looking for this gun ever since I sold the original one back in the day. Remington model 700 VLS in 7mm-08. I have been told they only made them for 2 or 3 years.
A S/S 700 MR dumped into a Ti handle is a good way to fly. A 1st Generation 700 Ti,better yet. The S/S Seven is sound metal, but the stocks suck. The elder blued/walnut MR's are sound,if you can stomach blue(I can't).
Or build a Custom 22" MR contoured dupe and dump it in a Ti handle. 22" is more than plenty spout.
Thanks guys, I have thought about shortening it but I want to see how it shoots first with some handloads, it is almost to hot to shoot right now but I will get it out there soon. So far I have shot some of the Hunting Shack Ammo with 140 VLD's and they did about 3/4-1 inch. Pretty good for some factory ammo. I will be trying it out this season, Can't Wait.
