Re: my new safe

Very nice safe good color choice too. I take it that it's going into
the garage at that weight.

Re: my new safe

thanks. i was inbetween the Patriot P-50 but it was much lighter and i didnt want to mess around with this. if i have $15K+ of rifles, why dont i have a $3500 safe to make sure i dont loose them?? lol. doesnt make any sence. Was looking into the Liberty safes, but after talking to a dealer i frequently shoot the sh*t with at the gun shows and he said that the Cannon traditional series is unbeatable for value. Similar liberty would be near 2k more. So it was a easy decision for me. Now how to move it?....

I suggest you don't get an electronic lock, good ole fashion tumblers work just fine, and no batteries, which leak, corrode, short, are forgotten to be changed, plus if you beleave it can happen, tumblers will still work after a nuclear detonation.

Holy sh*t thats frekkin massive !!!

I would love something like that but honestly dont think my house could support it... maybe if it were on a cement slab it might work

    Thats realllly nice

I especially like how it can fit a compound bow on one of the shelves

I could so use a safe like that

Nice safe!Even though its heavy,I would still bolt it to the floor and maybe the wall. And don't leave enough room around it for a rope or chain to go around it.The fake cover is a good idea, building a closet around it would be even better. You"ll be lots more comfortable when your away, knowing your stuff is safe. Very nice.

I just moved my Grandparents Misty Morn safe into my house. It was 700lbs and not fun at all to move, but not too bad with the right tools. If it was that 1700 lb puppy I would have hired someone to put it where I wanted it.

Of course if you have a level drive and it's going into the garage a pallet jack and some friends would probably get it done.

When I build my next house I will build in a Vault Door and a Gun ROOM.

That's what I'm planning on doing too. Much larger area, and for my collection it's needed. AR type guns take up too much damn room.

    Good choice, nice and big.

I've had the same safe in a 12/24 size with the same metallic alpine green color and gold leaf striping for over 3 years now. I also have the electronic lock and I've not had a need to replace the 9 volt battery yet, which gives you warning flashes and beeps when running low.

The fire rating on these are pretty good too.

    Enjoy

They said the alpine green was in stock so i should have the safe here in 4-6weeks. Will be taking pics of it as soon as it is here.

Ya, 1200degrees for 90minutes is pretty good. The guy i talk to at the gun shows said the BEST fire defense you can have for a safe that is outside is to run a simple commercial sprinkler head directly over the safe, so in the event of a fire it is activated and creates a water curtain over the safe. He said a 30min safe will last almost any fire with the springler setup. i opted for additional defense on top of that idea incase i dont get the sprinkler run before the sprinkler is up

    Re: my new safe

That's a great looking safe ! Another thing to consider when putting a safe in a garage is to put it against an outside wall away from gas furnaces and water heaters.
With an exterior wall there's less combustible material to burn as opposed to a garage wall that adjoins the interior of your house.

    Wow,
That's a monster. I've had my safe (Graffunder B-14) for about 6 years and have already run out of room.

    Congrats!
