Re: My New Savage

Great looking rifle there. Now get some SK Standard plus or Wolf Match Extra and let us know how it shoots. If it shoots as good as it looks it will definitely be a shooter.

Re: My New Savage

I got those two ordered along with lapua center x to test and see what it likes the best. Had to order all my ammo because Gander Mountain is the only place in town that carries 22lr target ammo. They want 9.99 a box for the Wolf

Re: My New Savage

The only thing I might add would be a collection of Savage factory 10-rd magazines. My rifle system includes ten of them, same for my 10/22.

Having 100rd already loaded on arrival gets the process up and running sooner, and longer.

In a match situation, the key to success is advanced preparation, which allows the shooter to confine their efforts more on concentrating on their shooting.

Arriving, then getting sidetracked doing things that could have already been accomplished is wasteful of time and concentration, the two things which a competitive shooter can never get too much of.

Re: My New Savage

i have to agree there. everytime midwayusa puts ruger stuff on sale, i buy a few 10/22 mags for $9 or $10 a pop just to increase the amount i have loaded on hand at any one time
