This is my newest Baby! It's a pretty decent M40 Replica that I just acquired. Took her to the range for the first time today. All I can say is... WOW!!! Of course I forgot my camera so pictures of her groups will have to wait. But I can tell you this is as accurate a rifle as I have ever shot. Kicks my ass though.
Everything you see is just the way I got her. All I did was set the eye-relief on the scope and then tighten up the screws on the scope rings and... Voila! I think this rifle and I will make beautiful music together. I'm one of those guys who believes that if things go "easy" then it was meant to be. Right after I bore-sighted her by just looking down the barrel at my 100yd target and then setting the scope so it looked kinda in the ballpark I fired my first shots (which were some 12 year old reloads that my brother gave me for Christmas). The first round hit the edge of the 1" bulls-eye! The next 4 made a nice little four-leaf-clover around the first shot! HOT-DAMN!!! This rifle Loves me! Except for the fact that she beat my shoulder to a pulp the whole day was spent with my jaw on the ground at my feet!

Anyway, Enjoy the pics... I'll certainly enjoy the rifle! Thanks guys!

Thats a great pick up on the rifle. I remember when it was being sold I wanted it, like ever other M40 type rifle. I love these rifles, congrats. I know what you mean by your shoulder hurtin like hell at the end of the day. Thats the unfortant thing about the M40 is the recoil is hell. Enjoy shooting!

Thanks! It is a beauty if you like the simplicity. I had one of the SSA Remingtons and it shot fine but I like this rifle a LOT more. I have no idea who built it but they did a Great job as far as I'm concerned.

Oh, I did have to adjust the trigger too. For some reason it was set at about 750 pounds... But broke clean. I honestly thought the safety was on the first time I pulled it. It's much better now.

I just got it on Thursday, took it all apart to make sure everything looked OK, adjusted the trigger, set the scope up, put it all back together, took it out on Saturday and shot it... And just now noticed that!!! It's called "Attention to detail". A skill/talent I used to have. Right up until I read this post!!!
