After extensive research I have found a pistol that I enjoy carrying as well using. Just got them today. Early b-day present two myself. why 2 of them? I always do everything in two's hehe like noahs arch

Two Springfield XD-M's

Re: My new Twins

They are both 9mm

I dont know why I always like to have two of everything. Not because i am rich lol. For security if one breaks or something happens. I like to know if i am somewhere and shit hits the fan i have a back up at home of whatever i need.

Re: My new Twins

thinking i may get one if these myself. But im thinking 45. woot woot.

nothing says hello to a criminal like shooting trash cans at them.

Why 45 cause shooting twice is silly.

Re: My new Twins

XDs are great pistols. Too bad the US manufactutrers could not come up with their own design of equal quality for the money.

Re: My new Twins

Nice. Have one just like it. Same 9mm. Why not have 2

Re: My new Twins

I have a 5" tactical 9mm for ipsc, shoots like a dream, I will be buying a 9mm subcompact as soon as I have the funds, for carrying. one of the best pistols ever IMO.

Re: My new Twins

I bought on at my local gun shop for 580 cash. went over to bass proshop they where selling the same one for 720 plus tax... went back to my shop and picked my second one. for the price and what they should be sold for its a kick ass deal. and those interchangeable pistol grips are very rugged and nice to have.

Re: My new Twins

Hey, Like the back up idea. Get a few more while you are at it. Or at least a dozen extra mags...

Do you have experiences with Glocks and how would you describe the differences between the XD and Glock?

BTW a buddy has the XDM and I shot next to him in a training class and I swear he had a 40 round mag. It seemed like he never had to reload. (really I think it was a 20 or 21 round mag, but a ton of rounds none the less)

Congrats and enjoy

Re: My new Twins

I like Glocks and Hk's. But the Springfield just has a differnt feel and style. I feel more confident shooting it compared to other pistols. As far as pointing and shooting its pretty right on!

Instead of buying more I figure i would just get one or two more match grade barrels.

Comes standard 2 19 round clips and a nice holdster

Re: My new Twins

XDs are very reliable, I have 2 of them right now - XDM 9mm and a bi-tone XD45 compact. Never had any failures with both so far. I have another XD 9mm sub-compact with factory trijicon night sights on its way this Tuesday (won from gun broker).

Enjoy shooting them!

Re: My new Twins

Another thing, since you have 2 of the exact same kind make sure you don't switch the slide, barrel and frame. I once owned a 9MM subcompact with mismatched frame and slide/barrel.

Resale value of these pistols are quite good, I sold the mismatched FTF for $450 and bought a brand new replacement (with night sights to boot) for a total of $526 including all taxes, shipping and transfer fees.
