My shoulder is sore

I shot a CMP Garand and vintage rifle match today.
I am used to being a little sore after a match. The steel buttplate on my K-31 will leave a mark.
But after today's match I have a know on my shoulder. Am I just getting old or has someone else here had this?

Damn, that is almost prophetic... Definitely quote worthy.

Cheers, Mech.

Man ya'll are just blowing sunshine up my ass aren't you?
It wouldn't really bother me as much if I had shot better. Prone slow was OK. Prone rapid was OK. Then I had to stand up and shoot like a man and it all went to hell. I have a shotgun that can shoot a tighter group.

Atleast you were shooting in a match. At the range i frequent (which is 100 yards) i often see people calling it quits after 5-10 rounds of 300wm, (which you can't hunt with where i live) and is basically retarded to shoot at 100yds target wise.

By the way, im pretty sure getting a bruised shoulder happens when your younger too (you just dont notice it as much). As far as a "knot" thats hard to say, maybe you damaged youre shoulder and should seek medical advice, couldnt hurt.
