My son attending a Jr. High Power rifle clinic with the USMC team, he is all about High Power and on his way to distinguished, after his first year, 12 Leg points, with his hard leg done, won 8 points at a regional match.

Congrats! My 14 year old has just "caught the bug" and wants to head out to the long distance range with me this weekend, looking forward to a good time.

Excellent. ANd that looks like Butner, my home range. the USMC does a great service by running the jr HP clinic every June. We are working on getting one of our clubs new jr up there for the week.
I think HP is a great competition avenue for kids. Takes skill, practice, dedication, focus, etc. They get to shoot side by side with the best the military and civilian world alike can produce. And they can do so without spending a ton of money.
I only wish I would have started at 12yrs old or even in my 20s, but no, I only found out about it at age 33!
