Okay, it's not a sniper rifle, but I thought you guys would appreciate this. It's a Winchester Model 54 full Stainless Steel custom made at the Winchester factory in 1927. Caliber is 270 W.C.F. (.270win). This rifle was custom ordered by a relative of mine and was used to hunt polar bear in northern Alaska and NE Canada. I had to have Winchester look up information on the rifle other than just the date since I couldn't find any data on it. They actually made an offer to buy it from me for their museum, however, since I couldn't see it sitting behind glass instead of being fired I had to pass. Per Winchester, this is a one of a kind and they had a heck of a hard time tracking down the original paperwork for it.
Well, here's the pics. The scope is a Leupold VX-II 3.9x40mm (at some point the original scope was damaged unfortunately).
The last time I shot this, it was 70 degrees out, about 5mph wind. At 100m the group was .512 outside to outside with 5 rounds of Fed Premium 130gr Barnes XLC. Not the best by any means...but really amazing for an 85 year old rifle (at least to me it was).
