Anyone know what this thing is? I'm going through a friend's reloading stuff and I'm stumped on this one.

To me it does not resemble an item of reloading equipment. It looks like it could be some kind of drill jig, where the over center toggle clamp holds a work piece on location while a twist drill addresses it through the bottom hole.

Soo do you think it is a Hornady pecan cracker or a Lee? And how many grains should i use behind a moderately sized pecan?

Definitely Lee. I use 43.1 of Varget but work up carefully in YOUR rifle. I find I get less spin drift with Stuarts.

Do they come out concentric?
