I grabbed some masks for a project and all the damn elastic- rubber band straps broke.....

I was wondering if anyone makes a better strap or a reusable strap using 4 badge clamps?

It seems like 4 of these and some neoprene would make for a better holder...

Or am I the only one who has had the straps crack and break?

Get the size mask that fits and swap filters as needed.

Pre stretch the straps, hold down on the filter where the strap is heat attached I’ve been wearing them for years

My wife sews. Go by a fabric store and get some elastic 1/4"...3/8" wide. Perfect replacement... Staple if needed.

I think thumpers solutions is probably the easiest for salvaging what you have. In the long run buying a decent half face and filters will give you better protection. For dust use the filters will last a while.

I have a ton of surgical masks which use the tie yourself non-elastic straps. When you tie them and do not watch how you are handling them, the straps can detach from the edges of the masks where they are glued on. No problem... I tie a handful and if soe of them come loose, a couple seconds with a hot glue gun and everything is back together.
