narrowed down my bolt rifle search

ok, i have been reading and searching and reading on this forum trying to gain as much knowledge as i can to make a decision on a bolt rifle. i apologize up front as i am still a newb to precision shooting and am trying to gain knowledge from you great group of men and ladies here. so here is what i have come up with:

remington 700 in .308. i am more intersted in a .260, but i am not set up, nor do i have any knowledge of reloading.

so the two rifles i have narrowed my search to are the remington 5r and the new remington sps tac aac with the 1/10 twist barrel. (from what i have read this would be a better choice than the old style sps tac with the 1/12 twist barrel)

the only thing i am not to keen on is the stainless of the 5r. i would like the action to be black such as the sps. but that is purely a cosmetic thing for me.

please give me insight. and thank you for not flaming me too much.

oh, and i live in a part of the world where i can shoot at pretty much any desired distance. thanks again.

You would be well served with any of those rifles and the stainless can easily be covered with Krylon. I would go with the least expensive of the three and go with that one.
