The clip from the preview showing the sniper shooting between heartbeats said, "Timing is everything."

It is.

But real-world conditions often preclude the shooter from being able to wait to fire a shot until his breathing can slow his heart rate, or take his heartbeat into consideration.

The effect of a pulse is exacerbated by the shooter having lungs full of air. A sniper properly trained to shoot at the bottom of his breathing cycle will exhibit minimum or no effect from heartbeat.

Learning to shoot under aerobic stress can be practiced, and should be, including dry-firing under those conditions.

If you shoot at a civilian range which makes run-and-gun scenarios impractical, simply set up your gear, and sprint away from the firing line for a 100 yards or so, then run back to make a shot.

It's a TV show. Take it with a grain of salt. Or a cupful...
