Navy vs Marine Corps...

Re: Navy vs Marine Corps...

When you're fat all you have to do is lean back.

All kidding aside, fleet week is pretty dope. Australian port libo's are still the land of milk and honey for service members.

Re: Navy vs Marine Corps...

Just keep relegating brig duty to them there jarheads to keep the wayward sailors in check.

GO NAVY!!

Re: Navy vs Marine Corps...

Fleet week is always an awesome time here in NY. It's amazing to see those ships sail into NY Harbor.

Unfortunately this year's event started off with the tragic death of a 22 year old Marine that was struck and killed while trying to cross the Westside Highway. May you rest in peace brother.

God Bless all men and women past and present who've served this nation.

one problem with that, i, along with several of my brethren mps, and many more other mos, are rescue swimmers, and ALL Marines are required to swim, if you cant (and i am sure there are some that slip through) you get cashed out, same goes for if you cant qual with a rifle (and for some pistol)

Pretty sure it was tongue-in-cheek, but I have seen more than a couple of my navy brethren take a jump off the flight deck of a destroyer during swim call and immediately begin sinking when they hit the water. Who knew that if you can't swim it is ill advised to jump in the water?

But even the Marine rescue swimmer don't compare to the REAL Navy rescue swimmers. It's like the Varsity (Navy) and JV (Marines).
