Using 308 Lapua brass and 175g Smk's what size neck bushing should be used. I dont have a round to measure to get the proper size so I thought you guys might be able to help.

335" and 336" work for me with Lapua brass. If your throat blows out (>.343") your necks, you might as well get a .340" bushing and an extra neck sizing die and neck size them in separate steps, like I do.

Bullet Dia + Neck thickness (x2) - desired neck tension (.001 - .006) usually.
This is where neck turning pays off big time! Constant wall thickness begets consistant neck tension. I use a automotive feeler gage to set my neck turner. This way I know that my neck thickness is .015 - .018 or there abouts. I try to just take enough brass off to even up all the necks.
My hornady brass that I am running right now is 0.015 necks with a .333 bushing giving me .004 of tension.

I just went through this drill earlier today for my rifles.
For my .308s with Lapua brass I got .335 bushing size.
For my AR with cheap brass I got .332 bushing size (thinner necks on the cheaper brass and want more tension for the semi-auto).
