neck turning question

Re: neck turning question

If you don't cut into the shoulder slightly, you will have the dreaded dougnut. That ridge will transfer to the inside after your first firing, and it will pinch the bullet. Read up on the subject in the benchreast circles. Good luck, JPG

Re: neck turning question

If you shoot much you'll develop a donut any way. I just use a reamer to cut it out when it becomes noticable.

Look on Sinclair's site and order "The Benchrest Shooter's Primer". It has dozens of ways to do almost anything pertaining to brass prep. I don't know that any are right or wrong. Just different.
