Not that I care or am bothered by it.

But have there been a relatively large number of necro threads today? I could be imagining...been a long week...

All interesting thread titles / topics though...

I mainly prune the PX and not the other sections so we have a lot of old threads here still

If I go and say, delete everything Pre-2015, someone will bitch there was this one golden thread which is now gone never to be seen again

It's interesting reading the old stuff, like a time capsule, and how fast things change

For sure! I’d probably be a complainer if you deleted old non-PX stuff, the site is an IMMENSE resource with old info that’s only old based on it’s post date. The info itself is still relevant and useful, so leave that stuff alone! :)

One of the most valuable things that this site and other forums possess are their archives. So much valuable information, entertainment, and useful insights are categorized in a digital library that can be called up whenever they are needed. The depth of storage and archive is also the pride of sites like this. Most of us are absolutely serious contributors and we view the time we spend here almost like a second job. We would greatly appreciate our efforts and contributions be preserved for successions of future generations to view and learn from.

I don't always look at the date a thread was originally posted before I make a reply, but I don't usually go digging 20 pages deep either.

The level of depth that I submerge into the archives is directly proportional to my BAC level. The higher it is, the deeper I tend to dive...

You really can't win in a case like this. If you bump an old thread, people whine how the thread is old. If you create a new thread, you get people who whine because the topic was already talked about.

I personally love when old threads get brought back to life and sometimes how long it takes for the subsequent posters to realize how old the thread is.

Also, it's a shame this thread title didn't have a typo for a certain letter. Would have put me into overdrive with jokes. :devilish:

I personally like when someone likes something I said 8n a Necro Thread . When I check out the post they liked I am often surprised by the colorful string of fucktardery woven into a response . I give most of the credit to my personal comedy writer , Al Cohol . He is brilliant sometimes . ?

You can get the info you seek without raising a dead thread. If there appears to be someone in the thread with the info you seek, PM them...

The increase in necrotized threads could also just mean the new search engine tool is working that much better...
This. I have almost done this myself. The new search tool seems to result based on a relevance algorithm rather than date. Do a search and see the second result and think it's fine. Check date, nope. 9 years old.

Please don't take this as a complaint about the search engine. I think it's fantastic. I just had to calibrate myself.

Honestly? Nobody, really........

Now call in yer hate crime, Peaches.

Really?

Uncalled for, unnecessary, and pretty sure the hate's all yours.

Taking LL's advice and putting you (back) on ignore. Took you off ignore some time back because I figure eveyone's entitled to another chance.

Not you, never again. Same for your pals who piled on.

See ya..., never...

Best, can't say; but affordable and very much good enough for 1000yd F Open, Mueller 8-32x42.

Because they're so affordable; I can afford three of them, and one of them has been in use for about a decade.

Not a Dusk/Dawn scope, otherwise they're fine for my needs.
