Rifle Scopes Need a new scope, focus up close

I have a .22LR project rifle, and will be looking for a new scope for it. I will be shooting a minimum of 25 yards, and a maximum of 100 yards. I would like it to have at least 14X on tap. I was thinking the Leupold VX-3 EFR scope but the price is a little steep! Anyone have a tip on something else?

Vortex Crossfire 4-16x50 with 10 yard AO has gone on a lot of .22lR projects I'm aware of.

A lot of rimfire guys seem to like Mueller's APV and APT, or the cheapie Centerpoints from WallyWorld.
