would appreciate hearing from those who have actually done it. I'm needing to capture a barnes solid as undamaged as possible after firing through different barrels hence why Im wanting as low a velocity as possible. I dont care at all about accuracy or practicality, just as slow a load as possible that is is safe. I have unique and bullseye powders on hand and read that those work well but also read about bullets getting stuck and pressure issues. If you ave done this I would appreciate your experience.

Haven't deliberately subed a 300 but when fire lapping 6-7g of bullseye or similar will get a slug out the end of the barrel. I'd start higher and work down till you get the velocity you want because a copper bullet will be harder to push out. If you are worried about SED, then put a little tuft of Dacron polyfill on top of the powder to push it against the primer. A tuft is just enough to hold the powder in place without packing the filler, it would be a piece about 3/8" cubed. If weighed out it will be between .5g and <1g.
Unique will work too w/ filler, start at 10g.
Just make sure each and every bullet leaves the muzzle before you fire the next one.
