First, a quick hi to all from Toronto, Canada. I'm new to the forum (and to precision shooting) and hope to learn from your wisdom and experience. I'm not into reinventing the wheel.

We are going to build a new toy. A semi for moving target shooting at 100 - 200 yards. Here's the kicker, it HAS to be either a Remington R-25 or a FNAR, in .308.

The reason it has to be one of these two is that in Canada we have very strict gun laws, and most of the sticks you use are not available through our dealers.

So, taking the stick from stock, which one would you choose, how would you mod it, and why would you do what you did.

Thanks in advance. I look forward to reading your replies.

I would go with the Remington simply because it is DPMS and has a vast availability of parts for future modification. Specific parts I would consider modifying would be the trigger first, and possibly depending on your intended use would also swap out for a better barrel and free float tube if it doesn't come with one in the first place.
