Ok guys here is the deal. I need to have a couple custom length ejector pins machined. This is for a savage project I am working on. I need more length to push the neck of the spent shell casing against the action raceway to get a really short case to properly eject. I have tried the mod of extending the travel recess down to gain length but its just not enough.

I am looking to have three of them made. I drew up a pic in paint, and I apologize in advance for the crudeness of it but I think you will get the idea.

In this pic all dimensions are measured directly off of a stock factory pin.

I need 3 of them, all dimensions the same as stock excepts I need more length at the head of the pin so it will protrude more out of the bolt face.

Looking for the three lengths listed in the pic: .430"
.450"
.470"

I will of course pay for these and your time providing I can afford it. At the least let me know what it would cost so I can gauge its importance to the project!

Thank you!

I think you might want to give them the depth of the cut, unless I missed something....

one could also improvise, and sacrifice some drill bit shanks, and make them by hand.

Yup, that's the mod I've already tried. Didn't get me there. I took it even further and filed it down till there wasn't barely anything left at the end and still couldn't get the length I needed. Having the other end extended is about the only way I see it going, and even then I am going to then have to play with the spring to get it to work.

C. Dixon, thank you!! I will be sending you a PM in just a few minutes!!
