Little question

I started fireforming using COW methode

The brass are my 6.5 rsaum.
I have started at 3gr of red-dotall the way to 23gr(by 1 gr step)

From my result i haven't see alot of dimensional change.
Form 3 to 6 the neck have not fully expanded , same for the headspace.

Should i just take the lowest charge that expand the neck?

No experience with 6.5saum specifically, but I've done many others.

10gr should be more than enough.

How are you packing/wadding the "cartridges"? There must be something for the powder to push against to build some pressure.

Most people drop in the pistol powder, a wad of some kind (toilet paper works well), then top off the case with cream of wheat, then another tight fit wad of TP or wax in the case neck.

I simply put the powder then the cream of wheat and i seal with crisco grease.

So i should use a patch to separate the powder from the c.o.w?

Some wadding between powder and COW helps, but so will very tight "projectile" wadding. I usually use some TP that's a very tight fit into the case neck.

Ultimately, you need something to provide resistance, to build some pressure.
