Need gift for Brothers 50th Birthday

Looking for an appropriate firearms related gift for brothers 50th. Would prefer a 50th anniversary type firearm, 1969 - 2019,
or an important firearm from 1969. Even something made in 1969

i think ruger just released their m77 in a 50 year anniversary 243 model....same dates.

Nevermind....it was 68-18....so close. Lol. I would check gun broker for a smith revolver or a ruger blackhawk old model...those folks usually include the date it was made with the older stuff.

I'd look for the right firearm without getting too hung up on intro or production date.

An idea I had for myself as a birthday party idea was a .50 caliber something for my 50th and have any party guestts bring ammo for it. (Wish I would have thought of that for my 45th)

So, if you chose a .45 1911 for example, guests could bring ammo. Makes it easier for them knowing what to buy.

I'd also think that most "commemorative" guns may be more apt to be a "safe queen" or BBQ gun. My taste is for guns I can shoot. That might make a custom type gun a better choice. Just a consideration.
