I posted yesterday about choosing a LVPO, I went with a Vortex Razor Gen 2, also ordered the switchview lever. Now I need help choosing a mount. I am leaning towards a quick detach mount to switch between rifles. I am looking at the ADM Recon or Recon-X and the LaRue LT-204. For those of you that have a Razor what mount did you go with. I am totally open to brands at this point.

Do yourself a favor, STAY AWAY FROM QD. It takes virtually nothing to change a Geiselle, or a Spuhr. They are INCREDIBLY solid. The RTZ is fantastic on either of those. Plus, they won’t mar the shit out of your upper like the Larue will.
IMO, go Spuhr, Geiselle, Badger, NightForce. ANY of those will be incredibly good and will RTZ within a MOA. You can literally change the Geiselle with a crescent wrench. IF I was going to go ADM, I’d go with the Delta. That has normal horizontal rings, and is built VERY, VERY well. I can’t speak to the RTZ capabilities, but otherwise, it’s a solid mount.

I am 100% ARC M10 QD-L Mount / ARC M10 Rings. I used to use Spuhr and switched over. Larue mounts have reportedly had some issues with their verticle ring use and I would avoid them myself. YMMV.

I would have to agree with VegasHKShooter... standard sphur mounts are very easy to use...get a wheeler fat wrench or fix it type stick to torque the mounting screws the same and it's about just as fast with no levers/parts to wear out...

If you are wiling to go with non-QD mount, add the Aadmount to your list.

With QD mounts, I have had good luck with Bobro. KDG's Sidelok mount is kind of an interesting design in terms of being fairly streamlined. I have only had my hands on one, but it seemed to work well. I am curious how these hold up.

I forgot to add that the Razor will be mounted on an 11.5" BCM using a SBA3 brace most of the time and a 16" BCM other times. So will need the mount to provide enough eye relief while on the pistol.

If you're going to put the scope on an 11.5" BCM, you probably will want a cantilever or extended design. The Bobro QD mentioned by Ilya is excellent, if a bit heavy. If you don't want QD, Aadmount is great. I recently purchased the JP Enterprises mount. The basic mount is cantilever and a more extended version is available. It is very nicely finished and extremely solid. I have them on both of my LPVO scopes. You can find them for less than $200.

I put my Razor 1-6 in a SCALARWORKS Leap mount and could not be happier. It is the lightest scope mount on the market, has a built in scope level feature and can be taken on/off the rifle without any tools. It is a really genius bomber design.

Another vote here for a Badger or Nightforce unimount if you want to keep the cost down. Paying extra for a QD lever is just silly, either one of those will return to zero just fine if you use the same torque value every time you move it.

My RRS unimount has a torque spec of 15 in/lb. I got a deal on a Seekonk T handle from the guy in the classifieds. Had him set it to 15 in/lb and it stays in my pack at all times. Something like that really makes a lot more sense than one of the heavy QD type mounts really.
