Need help picking barrel length and twist on 338 Lapua....

I just got the Savage 112, and it only has an actual barrel length of 24". I would like to have Bartlein make a barrel for me, but need help on barrel length and twist. I prefer to shoot 250-285 bullets. I'm thinking 28" barrel. Any thoughts?

30" bull, 1-10 with 3/4" muzzle threads. Pussycat to shoot, enough length to be efficient, twist adequate for the bullets you spec and plenty of steel left on the muzzle to preserve bore diameter at that critical area. Maybe go with a faster twist in case you want to play with solids.
