Back story: 4 Years ago I had a itch for a LR rifle setup that I could use for Competition, So I bought a FNH .308 SPR A5 and a Nightforce 8-32x scope. Problem after getting my "butt" handed to me at a local match I decided to let it camp in the safe and stick to what I was good at which was 3gun/uspsa. But now I feel its the right time for me to get back into the LR game.

Here's were I need help, When I bought the Nightforce I didn't know scratch form shit, and I ended up picking what seemed to be the simplest reticle choice that I could understand which ended up being the CH-3 SFP Benchrest Crosshairs. Now after spending some years behind some quailty glass from 3gun, (vortex Razor) I realize the CH-3 was not the greatest choice specially if I want to get into the LR tactical rifle matches. I know that Nightforce has a program that allows you to change out your reticle at a small fee. From what I've been reading on these forums the MOAR seems to be a solid choice, but been wondering with all the FFP vs SFP talk that I should just have it changed over to a FFP instead. (from what I understand that can be done for a price..) and what if I do so what reticle should I choose. Turrets are MOA based.

The rifle will stay a .308 until I make up my mind if I want to do a .260, 6.5creedmoore, or a 6mm creedmoore conversion

Also I'm thinking of replacing the stock with one that is made here in Colorado based out of Grand Junction, but I can't seem to remember the companies name. ( I found it here on the old Forum but can't seem to find it with the new forum search) I believe its the only company that makes tactical stock replacement for the SPR, if anyone can help me out with the name I'd be appreciative.

Reticle change is $320 and they promise 6 week turnaround. I'm in the same situation and decided to sell my NF and just buy one with the MOAR. It'll cost me a few dollars more but I won't have to wait.

I have both FFP and 2FP scopes and I can't say I have a strong preference.

One other note. If your existing scope does not have a zero stop, I'd get rid of it. It's very easy to lose your place at a comp like the sporting rifle match in Raton where you might be running the dial all the way around. My zero stop has saved me countless times.
