I contacted Woody at Lothar Walter to build a 16 inch barrel for one of our OBR's(7.62) for use in an upcoming deployment. We currently have the 20" configuration but when using a Surefire 762SS suppressor, the overall length of the rifle is a bit too much for operation in and out of Vehicles and buildings.
Were also wondering on changing up the twist rate to stabilize a wider range of rounds from Barrier blind ammo(140 gr) to M118LR(175g). Would a 1/10 twist suffice?
So far Im tracking the following info;
16 inch
1/10 RH twist
Stainless Steel, Blackened
4 groove
5/8x24 muzzle thread
Just need gas port dimensions and any other critical measurements to get this rolling.
Thank you
