Need help with rings and base

Hello, and thank you for reading. I'm new to the site and long range shooting. I recently picked up a remington 700 long range in 300 win mag and I just ordered a vortex diamondback tactical 6-24x to pair with it. The longest range i have available to me at moment is 700 yards, I don't see myself reaching out past 1000 often or ever. I'm looking for advice on what kind of rings and rail I should get that would be best for my application. I appreciate anyone taking time to respond and look forward to gaining some good info on here I can translate into proficiency on the range. Thanks!

Don’t go cheap on a rail and rings. Any of the quality name companies will work. Leupold, badger, Nightforce would do great for the rail. The rings are the same. If it is a primary target gun, definitely do a one piece base/ rail.

ARC M-10’s are my preferred rings.

The max elevation adjustment on the scope is 19 mil, should I be looking at a 20 moa rail? Or would that be too much

If you ever plan on 1000+ the 20 moa will come in handy.

I have used Seekins bases, and rings on a few different rifles, that have worked out great. Definitely get a 20 moa base. You won't regret having more elevation adjustment out of your scope if you ever shoot longer distances.

Thanks for the advice guys, I'd like to try to reach out past 1000 just haven't found anywhere I can around me yet. Might have to hit up some of my farmer buddies to see if I could throw a target up on the edge of a field. Anyone have any experience with the vortex diamondback tactical? I know it's on the cheaper side but I didn't want to spend 1000 bucks on a scope at the moment, figured it'd be a decent entry level optic I could always toss on one of my ar's if the win mag needs an upgrade down the road.

I have a Vortex Diamondback Tactical 6-24x 50 on a Howa I built over a year ago and it has been fine. The only issue I have found with it, is once you zoom over 16X, it starts to get fuzzy. Other then that, it has been a good scope for the price, but if I had to do it again, I would spend a little more and get the Strike Eagle 5-25x56.

As for the base and rings I use with the Diamondback, they are the MDT 20 MOA Base and Premier Rings. For the quality you get for the price, you can not beat it.
