I have a burris fullfield e1 4x14 30mm tube I installed a weaver 20moa base on my remmington 700 la I used 158 1/4" clicks to zero my gun that seams like a lot for putting a 20 moa base on am I doing some thing wrong please any help would be helpful thank you

Were the turrets at "factory zero" before starting? Sometimes the turrets will be cranked all the in one direction from someone testing it and not returned. Also, what distance are you zeroing at? With a 20 moa base if you are trying to zero at close ranges you will work thru a lot of clicks...

Ok prolly should of put more info in. Ok I'm sighting in at 100 yards. And what I could figure is my scope has 383 total clicks from bottom to top so mechanical center would be at 191 and I used 158 clicks from the bottom. That just seems like with a 20 moa base that is a lot of come up or am I doing my math wrong
Running thru the math in my head, it looks like you might be around 8'' +/- off the "expected". However, that is normal variable depending on your setup, optical center, mounts, etc. With your setup you still have 56'' (+/-) @100 yards to come up.
I guess to sum it up, its not out of the norm.

Ok sounds good I just was confused thinking I would of had more but 56 is a lot should be able to do what I want whit it thank you for the help
You seldom get even close to half the travel with a flat base and a 100 yard zero so what you have sounds about right.
