Re: Need M70 box mag part advice
WSM chambered rifles are an In-Between receiver design.
I'm thinking the Wyatt's box is for long-action magnum cartridges and is too long for a WSM or WSSM chambered receiver. If the rifle was a long-action conversion; no problem, but if not....
I have converted Winchester mag boxes and bolt stop to allow longer bolt throw and longer oal bullet seating. If your WSM magazine box has a spacer, that is your easiest solution. If you had a WSSM box of course you could just swap the WSM box and bolt stop.
Look at your receiver removed from the stock and measure the box recess. Doubt you have 3.82" oal to work with.
Wish you good luck!
Can always simply add a sled follower and chamber single rounds.
Also might think of a heavier profile bullet than a VLD design. The 185 Berger in a .30 would probably out-perform any of the 175 VLDs at longrange. Sometimes you just need to rethink the variables rather than spend money on gunsmithing...
