The local SO is using an FN SPR A5M. The rifle has a factory mount with built in 20 MOA. They are using a Leupold mk4 vx3 scope. They are adding night vision to the rifle. We just got an ATN PS 40-4. We used the mount from ATN that mounts around the scope and adds an upper rail extension that the ps40 hangs from. We returned the ps40 however. The new models come with auto gain control (which is less than par) and the focal ring was replaced with a focus knob with CLICK adjustments. Along with this, when using the scope by itself, only the center was clear, the outer 1/3 was foggy... We are now looking at the L3 M2124-LR. So far it looks good. The problem comes with the mount. We can't use the same drop down mount because the focus bar is on top, so it wouldn't be accessible. I know ATN has a long rail adapter ACWSLRADPT. Is this my only option? Does anyone else make a rail or adaptor that is a viable solution? Your knowledge base and help is greatly appreciated..

Re: Need mount help...

Just checked McCann Industries. The MIRS system looked good, but I couldn't tell much in the way of how it mounted (over the current base, replaced the scope base, etc.) or if it would work with the A5M. Got a female on the phone. She couldn't tell me anything about the product, did not know how it worked or what it worked on. Could not answer ANY of my questions nor could she pass me to anyone who could. She said the tech would be out for the next 2-3 months and she didn't know if he could answer an email. While they may have a good product, I am very wary of a company that operates like this. She gave me the impression it was her and one other person in the company, so I am still on the lookout if anyone has any other suggestions... Thanks for the help B3dlam...
