Gunsmithing Need rail help

I am in need of some ideas on how one might mount a pic rail on the side of a synthetic stock. I have considered tapping threads and going that route. But I am wondering if anyone has ideas. It has swivel studs on it, but I need rails. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.
