Re: Need reviews on Badger M2008 action

I use my rifles for shooting comps on this site and they serve me quite well. I can also say that a few people at these matches came over to look at my setup and made their mind up to use the M2008. What have you contributed to this thread other than saying the Badger action is shit and go buy an AE. If you had anything you would just buy an AW and be done with it but you cheaped out and bought the AE. And dont give me that bullshit that I dont need a full blown military grade weapon because everybody knows that if you got the coin you are runnin with an AW and not some 2nd rate Ae.
I can afford to buy any rifle from any manufacturer. But cmon 7500 for a gun without the rest of the kit??? Maybee Im just getting older but when guns get past 10K thats enough. I have quite a few 10K rigs and wont go down that path anymore.
Maybee you should bring your AE to one of the matches on this site and Ill run my junk Badger gun. Im sure you will kick my ass all over the range.

There's no denying that a rifle with a custom tube is going to outshoot a factory AI, but when you screw a custom barrel on the AI... guess what?
If I had anything I would buy an AW? What is that supposed to mean? I had a AWSM that I sold because I rarely shot because the 308 does everything I need. I certainly didn't "cheap out" I decided that a 3 position safety and a action glued in the stock wasn't worth another $3000 to me and put it in other stuff for the rifle. The AE has the same bolt, trigger, and barrel. The action is merely a different shape and not glued to the chassis and the AW has a safety that also locks the bolt down.
I don't need a full blown military rifle but I got one with the AE. The only difference between the AE and AW's from a reliability standpoint is the action being glued in the stock and being flat bottom. The bolt flutes present on the "Artic Warfare" making it being able to perform in artic conditions are one the AE because its the same exact bolt, and it has the same trigger that also makes it ultra reliable. A AE is still more reliable than just about every other military grade long range rifle and if you fail to see that your just ignorant. If I had unlimited funds of course I'd buy AW's just because I have a ton of money to blow but the reality is I don't, hell I'd have every rifle in the AI lineup if I had that money. It took me a long time to save the cash for the AWSM that when I got I put less than 400 rounds through and decided I don't need a 338LM.
If your Mr.Rich whats the problem with a rifle that costs less than 20% more? It's $7500, NOT $10K for a AX. According to you I'm just a poor guy because I got the measly AE but have $8K in the rifle, optics, and suppressor. Whats the problem?

Seeing as you're convinced this was some issue with the receiver itself, or the inletting of the stock, did you drop the reveiver in the stock immediately after it was inletted yourself, or was it sent out to have work done on it before you had it in your hand? You're making statements that don't add up here. It would be a whole different ballgame if Marty had put the gun together, but that's obviously not the case. </div></div>
Everything was shippied directly from Badger to Patriot Arms.

The same guy that made the action inletted the stock. All Patriot Arms did was thread and chamber the barrel and Duracoat the inside of the barreled action with the exception of the bolt body and inside of the action which they blued then bolt it into the chassis. I see no way Patriot arms could have screwed up the feeding or caused light primer strikes from the work they did. </div></div>
