Rifle Scopes Need Scope Advice:20" REPR w/ M118LR, 1000 yrdish

Hi, i skimmed through the postings and found many good recommendations but wanted to see if anyone has a LWRC REPR and what scopes they are using...

I am purchasing a 20" REPR and going to put quality glass on it...I sold an older M1A Super Match that had a mid level Leopold...i figured its time to enter the 21st Century and it was going to cost too much to overhaul the M1A.

I would like to keep the price under 3000...2000 ideally, but i plan on keeping this rifle for life as well as the scope.

I live in WV and never plan on a shot longer that 500-600, but demand the capability to do 1000 (helps me sleep better).

Would be using 175gr loaded to around M118LR specs, or however it tweaks the best for the rifle

Plan on going with Magpul 308 pmags

I am leaning towards a Schmidt & Bender 3-12 or 4-16...and can't decide between x50mm or x42 objective...and leaning towards a P4 reticle...Looking for Mil dot and the MOA clicks (not the centimeter ones)...BUT, this is all due to hype i have read and some kind of self destructive subliminal desire to develop an impressive collection of debt.

I need recommendations based primarily on accuracy, repeatability, reliability, and being able to take the normal abuse that we all try to prevent but seems to happen anyway (slips, falls)...i am not looking to get burned, but cost is only a factory when it breaks the $3000 mark...Weight not a serious issue...Made in the USA is preferred, but not required (Sorry, personal reasons)

I am Ex army, familiar with M16 platforms, know how to properly maintain a rifle and realize its a substantial investment and the rifle is only as good as the shooter...i am willing to pay for professional lessons, i just have an opportunity to acquire a fine rifle and i want excellent glass on it, just in case the Reds invade, Zombie Apocalypse takes place, the Mayans were right or whatever next great disaster is going to tear down civilization as we know it.

The Nightforce 3.5-15 X 50 F1 pretty much meets all of your specifications. Of course I'm a little curious as to why you want MOA adjustments over mil adjustments that will match your reticle.

Razor HD? A friend of mine has one and I love the thing. It has tons of internal travel as well.

i have a 20" REPR. Put the NF F1 on it, as mentioned above. Larue QD mount (LT104 I think it is). I think it is the perfect choice for the REPR. That set up put 8 in a row on steel at 1000 yds with factory 168 gr and i got a first round hit at 960 during Sean Little's PSR1 class last month. i like the MLR reticle with MRAD zero stop turrets for ranging unknown distance targets. but could see mildot as an excellent alternative. Checkout vaportrail tactical for training. Sean is awesome.
Can't criticize S&B, but i wouldn't change.
