I have a spec m40 a3 bein built, i'm having trouble deciding on what scope to mount. Any advice would be greately appreciated.

well if you are going for a legit M40A3 clone, then your choice would be pretty limited to SB 3-12x50 PMII or a USO MST-100

A "Spec" build means you are limited to the above. If that's not financially viable, then letting us know what your price range is will help immensely.

You aren't touching a S&B or MST for that.
Look for a used Nightforce.
