Rifle Scopes Need scope help

Trying to decied on a starter scope. I'v been looking at the weaver tactical or the hawk sidewinder.
Any thoughts?

I was just recently employed for awhile by ATK and I know that they bought Weaver awhile back. I know that the engineers for Speer bullet company, also owned by ATK use the new weaver tactical scopes on there 308 test rifles with really good success. I was actually in the market for a new scope not to long ago and the weaver tactical was a serious candidate.Ive gotten to look through one and the glass is really clear and I believe they have 60 MOA total which would be enough for almost any normal shooter. As far as the other scope your looking at dont have any information.

What are you going to be putting the scope on and what type of shooting are you planning on doing?

Need more info... what are you going to do with it? What ranges? What mag do you like? What objective size are you wanting? What caliber are you shooting?

This is going on a sps tactical in 308. Going to use it mainly paper punching and some hunting.
