Need some help identifying a rifle

[SQUATCH]

Was handed down to me from an uncle. It is a .30-06. He said it (was) a Mauser Standard Modell, an ancestor of the famous K98k, produced for export. I just want to see if he is right or not. Needs some cleaning that is for sure but really want to fire this. Link below is to some pictures.

It is possible.I appears to be a standard 98 action.Have it cleaned and the headspace checked.If it's in spec you should be able to fire it safely.
