need some help with a cz 527

hey guys i need some in put with this . so about a month ago my old fart of an uncle bought a cz 527 varmint in a 204 ruger , bought a Bushnell 6500 elite scope and he brought it to me asking if id put the scope on . so ok no problem i lapped the rings mount it all up for him and i go to bore sight it , and in order to get the reticle sighted in with the bore sighter i had to just a bought max out the elevation to get it there . any idea s on this ?

You might try buying one of these and seeing if you can shim it

There is a guy selling a 527 in the classifieds with one. Might send him a PM to get an idea if it is even possible.

Only other think I could think of is have a smith drill and tap for weaver bases, then try and shim them.

Thanks for the info I put .034 shim in the back and I'll have him shoot it and see what happens
