Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
Looking at the 224 Valkyrie as a temporary option for a match rifle. Recent shoulder surgery is going limit my weight for quite awhile. I would appreciate any info you guys could give me. Thanks

If you plan to shoot any of the elds, 90or 95smk at mag length be sure you buy a barrel with a true SAAMi chamber instead of one with the longer freebore or you will never be able to get close to the lands. Most barrels were cut with reamers ground out of spec. CMT only sells complete uppers and I think Craddock is using the correct reamers and selling barrels. The production barrels like Wilson Combat and LMT aren't going to perform at 600yds +. Get someone to cut you a chamber on a Krieger, Broughton or Bartlein 6.5 or 7 twist blank.

What type of match? Are you thinking Semi Auto or Bolt Action? I run a 224 Valkyrie Bolt action in PRS type matches. Edit... sorry I just realized this was a Semi Auto forum. Constructor is correct, the match freebore for Bolt Action will be way too long - mine is .198. Your jump would be 50 thou plus minimum.
